Grey Bruce Cottages Inc. is a Premier Host on VRBO and SuperHost Administrator  on Airbnb. We are the only property management company in Grey and Bruce Counties to be an authorized integrated partner with VRBO.

Teresa Purchase

Co-founder, Operations

Teresa Purchase (“Mama Bear”) is the heart of our Operations team, leading both our Cleaning Team and Onsite Team to ensure every property is styled, cleaned, quality-checked, and fully ready for the next guest. As Co-Founder of Grey Bruce Cottages, Teresa brings years of hands-on hospitality and property management experience, along with a deep commitment to organization, consistency, and 5-star guest readiness.

Her background as co-founder of Cape Chin Micro Farm and Cape Chin Bed & Breakfast shaped her signature approach to warm service, exceptional standards, and memorable guest experiences — all of which continue to define the quality and care that GBC is known for today.

CRAIG CHISHOLM

Co-founder, Onsite

Craig Chisholm (“Chief Yoda”) leads Community & Partnerships at Grey Bruce Cottages, building the strong network of local contractors, trades, suppliers, and community relationships that support our operations across the Peninsula. Born and raised on the Bruce, Craig brings deep local knowledge and years of experience in property care, hospitality, and service coordination.

As co-founder of Cape Chin Micro Farm and the former Cape Chin Bed & Breakfast, Craig developed a reputation for warm hospitality, sustainable practices, and strong community ties. His work in beekeeping, farm operations, and local business partnerships continues to strengthen the reliable service ecosystem that powers Grey Bruce Cottages today.

Nathan Monk

Co-founder, Property Management

Nathan, Co-founder of Grey Bruce Cottages Inc., leads Online & Licensing while driving strategy, property management, and Special Projects across the portfolio. With over 12 years as an Airbnb SuperHost and experience as a licensed Realtor® at RE/MAX Grey Bruce Realty, Nathan brings deep knowledge of the Grey and Bruce Counties’ real estate and short-term rental markets.

Combining expertise in innovation, hospitality, property management, and local market trends, Nathan oversees owner relations, portfolio growth, and the planning and execution of Special Projects that enhance guest experience and property value. His strategic approach and hands-on leadership make him a trusted advisor for buying, selling, upgrading, and managing cottages throughout the region.

jodi phillips

Sr. Cleaning Lead

Jodi Phillips is one of our original “OG” team members and serves as our Senior Cleaning Lead, bringing decades of experience in cleaning, hospitality, and property care. Jodi has seen just about every cleaning situation imaginable and approaches each one with unmatched attention to detail, consistency, and professionalism.

Known for her calm presence and incredibly high standards, Jodi plays a vital role in supporting both our Cleaning Team and our owners. Her deep experience allows her to spot issues before they become problems, deliver reliable quality checks, and ensure every cottage meets the 5-star standard our guests expect.

Jodi lives in a beautiful log cabin in Georgian Bluffs with her husband and daughter, and is well-known across our team for her decorating advice and her absolute love of Christmas. Her warmth, dedication, and expertise make her an essential part of the Grey Bruce Cottages family.

Rob Purchase

Sr. Manager, Customer Success

There are nice guys—then there’s Rob Purchase, one of our original “OG” team members who has been with us since the very beginning. Rob leads our Customer Success operations and is responsible for implementing many of the best-in-class protocols, communications, and technologies that shape the GBC experience today.

A skilled communicator with a passion for hospitality, Rob brings warmth, clarity, and professionalism to every guest interaction. Technically savvy and endlessly patient, he ensures our guests feel supported, informed, and welcomed throughout their stay. His steady presence and genuine kindness make him not just an exceptional team member—but truly the nicest guy on the planet.

Sr. Lead, Special Project & Customer Success

Anna Chisholm is our Senior Customer Success & Special Projects Lead, bringing a strong background in hospitality and operations leadership to Grey Bruce Cottages. With experience at the Quality Inn managing guest operations and at Fit for Less overseeing day-to-day workflows, Anna has built deep expertise in customer service, organization, and operational excellence.

Known for her exceptional attention to detail and calm, structured approach, Anna plays a key role in coordinating Special Projects, supporting owners, and helping ensure our cottages meet the highest standards. She excels at organizing teams, improving processes, and keeping complex projects running smoothly from start to finish.

Anna’s professionalism, warmth, and strong communication skills make her a trusted point of contact for both owners and team members. Her ability to balance guest needs, operational demands, and project timelines has cemented her as a core leader within the GBC family.

Craig R. Chisholm

Sr. Operations Lead

Craig R. Chisholm is our Senior Operations Lead, bringing strong carpentry skills and hands-on experience to the Special Projects team at Grey Bruce Cottages. Craig first joined GBC a year after launch as an Onsite Runner, quickly becoming known for his reliability, work ethic, and problem-solving ability. After leaving to pursue formal carpentry training, he returned with advanced skills that have taken our property upgrades and special projects to the next level.

From structural repairs and custom builds to detailed finishing work, Craig plays a key role in elevating the quality, functionality, and beauty of our cottages. He also helps train team members on hot tub care and best practices, ensuring everything from water balance to equipment safety meets our 5-star standard.

Known for his down-to-earth realness, steady presence, and ability to explain even the most complex tasks in simple terms, Craig is an essential part of our operations team. Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with his son, Vinnie.

Rebecca French

Cleaning Lead

Rebecca French is a dedicated Cleaning Lead at Grey Bruce Cottages, known for her exceptional attention to detail and the pride she brings to every turnover. With a calm, consistent approach and a natural eye for cleanliness, Rebecca ensures each cottage is spotless, welcoming, and fully prepared for a 5-star guest experience.

Rebecca believes that a well-prepared space sets the tone for every memorable vacation, and she leads by example — from sparkling kitchens to perfectly made beds. Her reliability and high standards make her an invaluable part of our Cleaning Team and a trusted support to both guests and owners.

When she’s not elevating cottages across the Peninsula, Rebecca enjoys long walks with her dog and catching sunsets on the beach. Her warmth, dedication, and passion for creating beautiful spaces make her an essential member of the Grey Bruce Cottages family.

Jamal Bishop

Operations Lead

Jamal Bishop is our Operations Lead at Grey Bruce Cottages, bringing a strong background in landscaping, machinery operation, hydroseeding, stone cutting, and production work. With experience at Instagreen Hydro Seeding, Owen Sound Ledgerock, and Grand River Foods, Jamal has built a reputation for reliability, precision, and exceptional attention to detail.

A fast learner with excellent critical thinking and communication skills, Jamal excels at coordinating onsite tasks, supporting inspections, assisting with repairs, and helping ensure properties meet our 5-star standards. He thrives under pressure, maintains a strong commitment to safety, and consistently steps up to train and support others.

Known for his calm, steady presence and strong work ethic, Jamal plays a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly across the entire portfolio.

Operations Runner

Konnor Boal joins Grey Bruce Cottages as our Onsite Runner, supporting the day-to-day guest experience with strong hands-on skills and a dependable work ethic. With experience in roofing, Hydro Vac operations, backfilling, and general fieldwork, Konnor brings a practical background that’s invaluable to our onsite operations.

Konnor assists with damage checks, garbage and recycling removal, hot tub balancing, supply runs, and ensuring each cottage is fully prepared for a 5-star guest arrival. Known for his reliability and calm approach, Konnor plays an essential role in maintaining property quality and supporting both our onsite and Special Projects teams.
