Welcome to Sunrise Retreat, a beautiful 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom waterfront cottage on Isthmus Bay, minutes from Lion’s Head. Enjoy stunning views of Georgian Bay from the solarium and deck, a private hot tub, BBQ area, and firepit. Perfect for families, the cottage offer games, incredible views, Wi-Fi, and cozy bedrooms, including a fun bunk room for kids. Daytrip to the Grotto, Flowerpot Island, and Bruce Trail, it’s the ideal base for adventure, relaxation, and making memories.

Great Hosts
We had a wonderful time at Bruce Peninsula and Lion’s Head ! The house was exactly as described and the views from the living area, the deck, and the patio were spectacular ! We watched the sun rise over Georgian Bay each morning and saw the most amazing night sky when the clouds moved out. So many stars ! Definitely nothing like what you see in the city. We sat by the fire the second night enjoying the breeze and listening to the water on the rocks below. The water was a little cool, even during the day, but we did walk down the steps and put our feet in the water (Georgian Bay). The Grotto was definitely worth the walk, a little crowded but not too bad, and we put our feet in the water there too (Lake Huron). The movie selection was great, plenty to choose from, and the games/puzzles/books were a welcome distraction when our boat trip got cancelled (due to high winds). If we ever return to Bruce Peninsula we will definitely stay here again. Thank you for being a great host.
Beautiful Place
Beautiful place, we had an amazing time here. Only thing that can be improved is the cleanliness (lots of spider webs on the deck and on windows that come in your view of the water). That will not stop us from re-booking this location. The view is amazing, the water, the stars, the tranquility and old rustic charm of an era gone by will bring us back here.
Fantastic Location
The location of this cottage is absolutely fantastic, perfectly showcasing the stunning beauty of the Bruce Peninsula’s waters. Whether inside or outside, in the morning, daytime, or evening, the views are wonderful. The interior has a charming traditional style with many unique decorations, truly capturing the essence of lakeside living. The only slight downside was that both 2 beds weren’t Queen-sized, so it felt a bit cramped for two people.

Wonderful Stay
The view is absolutely gorgeous! The deck and patios were beautiful. obviously there were mosquitoes at night and a few spiders, but that is to be expected. We were provided with everything we needed, plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags,etc. The hot tub was great! The only "complaints" would be the carpet in the main areas is pretty stained up, but it wasn't really a big deal for us, I mean it is a lake house. There was a little mix up with the door code to get in when we arrived, but that was fixed almost immediately and they even came out to the property to make sure we got in ok. It was extremely hot while we were there and we didn't realize the air conditioners worked (we found the remote with instructions 🤦♀️) so we didn't have air the first couple of days, but that was our fault. We enjoyed leaving the windows open at night to be lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves. Everyone in the area are so friendly. The scenic boat tours in Tobermory are beautiful!

The experience was excellent. Staying here, you’ll be moved by the exquisite decor inside the house and amazed by the crystal-clear lake outside. Highly recommended!

Our recent family short break was absolutely perfect! The location was ideal for exploring , and the apartment itself was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Communication with the host was excellent, making for a smooth and enjoyable experience from start to finish. We highly recommend this stay and would love to stay here again!
Just beautiful
Our stay at Sunrise Retreat was nothing short of magical! The cottage is the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort, with breathtaking views of Isthmus Bay that greet you the moment you walk in. We loved relaxing in the cozy living room by the stone fireplace, enjoying meals in the dining area with panoramic water views, and soaking in the hot tub under the stars.
The location is unbeatable—just minutes from Lion’s Head Harbour and close to incredible hiking trails like the Bruce Trail. Our family especially enjoyed kayaking in the crystal-clear waters right from the property and winding down around the firepit each evening.
