Treetop Hideaway is a rustic cabin retreat nestled on Mallory Beach Road in Wiarton, surrounded by forest and perched above Georgian Bay. Featuring a cozy interior with a full kitchen, sleeping loft, and built-in bed nook, it also offers a wraparound deck, hammock, BBQ, and woodland seating areas. Ideal for couples or small families seeking peace, nature, and classic cottage charm. Please note, there is a dock on the property for swimming.

The perfect cottage getaway
This little setup with two cabins was the perfect place for an anniversary weekend with my girlfriend. It can be a little daunting with having to climb a few flights of stairs to get up to the property but it’s well worth it. Nestled right on the rocks these cabins sit nice and high up off of the road and provide a lovely view over Colpoys Bay.
Cabin #1 was a little more bare bones and rustic but we loved using the outdoor shower on the backside of it.
The fire pit is nice and big and plenty of wood was provided to use so we made sure to sit out both nights and look at the stars with a cozy fire in front of us.
The second cabin was definitely more up to date with a lovely spacious kitchen that had all of the usual amenities needed to make you feel right at home. It also had a perfect nook with a queen bed to sleep in that was super cozy and comfortable. Both cabins had tons of windows to help adapt to any climate or just ensure lots of airflow.
The private dock was a nice bonus but be sure to be prepared to wash it off since the seagulls loved to use it as their own hangout spot (lol).
In typical Grey Bruce Cottages fashion we were provided with a lovely bottle of red wine, pack of pepperettes, and some freeze dried skittles. Oh and a perfect bag of local coffee all ground up and ready to have for the mornings! Mhmm!
One of the many reasons why I love staying with Grey Bruce. You always feel taken care of and you’re treated well right from the start.
If I could have one small piece of constructive criticism it would be that I would prefer a later checkout time. A 10am checkout always seems to feel a bit rushed but it seems to be the standard for Grey Bruce. 10:30am would be great or even 11am but I do understand since these are rural properties it isn’t as simple as a quick cleanup and turnover to the next person staying.
I look forward to trying another one of Grey Bruce’s properties in the future!

We absolutely loved our short stay at the cottage. Clean, quiet place. Everything well maintained. Clear instructions provided before the arrival. Close to the town. We will return soon! Thank you for sharing this beatufil space with others.

Amazing Hidden Cabins!
My boyfriend & I came to celebrate my birthday in Bruce Peninsula. As a last minute trip, we found this location and instantly fell in love! In person, the charm hits you so much more, especially if you are into the ‘off grid’ vibes. The no AC was fine since there were many windows and there was a candle to help with some of the humidity smells in cabin 2. There is everything you could possibly need here: waterfront, spacious rooms/ beds, cooking utensils, fire pit, and amazing welcome gift!!! Everything was beyond clean inside and the bugs were kept to a minimum inside all the buildings. For being so remote, I was amazed at the cleanliness. Will definitely be back!! Everything and the hosts were amazing! 😊
