What To Bring

Wondering what to bring for your stay?

We suggest you bring:

  • personal soaps, shampoo, toothpaste, and other toiletries
  • bug spray
  • ice cubes
  • extra drinking water
  • food for an extra day
  • your favourite kind of coffee (or pods if the property has a Keurig or Nespresso machine)
  • personal cooking spices and oils
  • kindling & matches or a lighter for the fires (pick up at Wilson’s Home Hardware on Hwy #6)
  • warm clothing and slippers, including a wind breaker
  • good hiking shoes and water shoes
  • beach towels
  • suntan lotion
  • blankets for lounging outside
  • GOOD VIBES!

Additional items as recommended by the federal Government in the event of a power failure:

Water – at least two litres of water per person per day. Include small bottles that can be carried easily in case of having to leave.

Food that won’t spoil, such as canned food, energy bars and dried foods.

Wind-up or battery-powered flashlight (and extra batteries)

Wind-up or battery-powered radio (and extra batteries)

First aid kit

Special items such as prescription medications, infant formula and equipment for people with disabilities

Extra keys to your car and house

Cash in smaller bills, such as $10 bills (travellers cheques are also useful)
