Howdenvale Beach
A large expanse of sand keeps the children entertained building sand castles and tunnels.
Howedenvale beach is great for fantastic Lake Huron sunsets, excellent swimming, sailing, kiteboarding, birding, stargazing, biking, and wildflowers at Petrel Point, canoeing, snow shoeing and cross-country skiing.

Lion’s Head Pebble Beach
Beautiful smooth stone pebble beach. This is not the same, and not at all like the Lion’s Head Harbour Sand Beach. Lots of great smooth rounded stones to skip. You need decent footwear but the walk to the north along the beach yields some great overhanging rocks. Be careful if you walk underneath not to get a spider in the face.
