Our entire family was thrilled with the Orchid Retreat and we were so impressed the cleanliness of every single room. The cottage was so well appointed, there wasn’t anything that we needed that wasn’t already there. We were ages 3 years old to 78 years old and there was something for everyone. One very minimal suggestion would be – WD40 the doors so they don’t squeak…LOL. I would give this ten stars if I could. Thanks for making our holiday so fun.

As it was my wife’s and my 50th wedding anniversary, one of our daughters suggested we rent a cottage for the whole family for a long weekend get a way. We started researching with the only criteria being the place had to sleep at least 9 and be dog friendly. We decided on the Orchid Retreat, and did we ever make the perfect decision. The place is beautiful and as our 15 year old grandson said as he entered the house, ” this place is huge”. Everything is supplied, except the food, of which we brought more then was necessary, you can only eat so much, lol. The grandkids had loads of fun in the basement playing ping pong, fooseball, and air hockey. We all had a great time as a family just relaxing, playing games, enjoying a campfire, going for a bike ride, and hiking at Sauble Falls. Unfortunately the weekend ended and we had to leave. We all agreed Orchid Retreat would be a great place to come back to, and we just may!

If you are looking for a quiet away from it all place this is it! The place was spectacular. Short drive to the beach or Sauble Beach – for a little more activity – and otherwise quiet, restful place.
